Next time you are thinking of a PR campaign and considering going the traditional route of sending press releases and praying that someone will pick it up, you might consider some alternatives to the traditional PR function.

It got the product noticed. It seeded the product with a whole new user group. Gave Axosoft a fantastic opportunity to generate upgrade revenue. Got them free press from a whole slew of sites and got them OTS’es (Opportunity to See) amongst their primary and secondary target group.
